Overview
We are currently looking for a Compliance Officer in our Innovation and Compliance Management Team based in Istanbul, reporting to Innovation and Compliance Director.

What we expect:
The Compliance Officer will ensure that SESTEK adheres to all relevant industry standards and regulations, including GDPR, KVKK, ISO, and security protocols. This role involves reviewing SESTEK’s business practices to ensure regulatory compliance, verifying requirements, and overseeing the implementation of necessary actions to maintain compliance.
- Manage and maintain the company’s compliance roadmap, ensuring that all compliance-related initiatives and milestones are clearly defined, tracked, and achieved on schedule.
- Oversee and maintain ongoing compliance items, ensuring that the organization continuously meets the highest standards of compliance and business support.
- Ensure compliance with KVKK/GDPR requirements, providing the tools and support needed to monitor and maintain internal compliance effectively.
- Monitor regulatory and standard changes in relevant markets and take proactive actions to ensure timely compliance with evolving requirements.
- Participate in supplier, customer, and authority audits, collaborating with management to ensure timely follow-up and action on audit findings.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of new compliance items (such as new certifications, regulations, or standards), working closely with business units to ensure smooth execution.
- Guide business units on compliance matters, fostering a quality mindset and increasing compliance awareness throughout the organization.
- Manage documentation related to compliance, ensuring that documents adhere to organizational formats, data security standards, accessibility, and are kept up to date.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and mitigate potential risks effectively.
- Develop and deliver training programs to staff on compliance procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business units to analyze and improve existing business processes and design new processes that align with compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Law or Engineering
- At least two years of working experience
- Advanced English and Turkish language skills
- Experienced in KVKK/GDPR compliance processes
- Preferably experienced in ISO certification processes
- Good reporting skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Plans to have a career in compliance management
- Result-oriented, having good follow-up, planning and organization skills
- Believes in teamwork with good interpersonal and communications skill
